About UsOur Cub Scout Pack is a family-oriented group for boys and girls who are in Kindergarten through 5th grade. The Pack, which includes all the kids and meets monthly, is divided by age/grade into smaller groups called Dens. Each Den meets at least once a month to work on age-appropriate activities and projects.
In addition to providing the fun and excitement of the activities and events, our goal is to help youth grow into good citizens with strong character. Highlights of our Cub Scouting year include:
We are affiliated with the Golden Gate Area Council and meet monthly during the school year on the third Wednesday of the month at 6:30pm. New Scouts are welcome any time of the year! Click here to learn more about Cub Scouts of America. Questions? Contact the Pack 800 Cubmaster. |
From our Cubmaster |
Dear Family and Friends of Pack 800,
It is an honor to serve as your Cubmaster. Cub Scouting is a family-centered program designed to support and encourage quality family involvement for boys and girls from Kindergarten to 5th grade. Cub Scouts are encouraged to "do their best" as they progress through a program that builds character, provides opportunities to learn about and enjoy the outdoors, and allows Scouts the opportunity to work -- with their family, adult leaders and peers -- to achieve goals and explore their world. We do all this while having FUN! For more than 100 years, the Boy Scouts of America has provided opportunities for youth in the United States. Pack 800 has been serving youth in Alamo for more than 40 years. This year we will continue our work toward the goals of Scouting: to develop character, good citizenship, physical fitness, and leadership in our youth. We will encourage our Scouts to try new things, make new friends, spend time with their families and strive to live up to the ideas embodied in the Scout Law. Whether we are meeting in person or online, our commitment to our Scouts and families remains the same: Cub Scouting is FUN, with a purpose. Pack 800 is a completely volunteer-run organization, and we rely on our adult volunteers to put on a quality program for out Scouts. The Cub Scout Adventures as well as our Pack programs provide a structure through which families can interact and grow together. Regardless of family size or composition, adult and family participation is important. Whether you decide to volunteer as a registered leader or to help with other projects, no amount of help is too small. We encourage active participation from all parents/guardians and wholeheartedly welcome help from interested grandparents, aunt/uncles, etc. I look forward to getting to know you, your Scout, and your family over the coming years. Thank you in advance for your support and please feel free to contact me with questions or suggestions. Remember, the Pack is all of us working together -- leaders, parents/guardians, and Scouts. Let's have a great year! Yours in Scouting, Ana Henderson Morimoto |
